Submission of Manuscript
For guidance, the requested size for articles is:
Narrative reviews: These should cover all aspects of a subject and avoid being ‘opinion’ based. Narrative reviews should follow a logical structure but not in the Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion format. The unstructured Summary should give a clear indication of the objectives and findings.
Review Articles: up to 6500 words and 100 references with 3-5 figures or tables. The unstructured Summary should give a clear indication of the objectives and findings.
Clinical investigations: up to 4500 words and 25-35 references, 3-5 tables or figures.
Laboratory investigations: up to 4000 words and 30-40 references, 4-6 tables or figures.
Editorials: up to 1500 words and 15 references, 2 tables or figures.
Special Articles: articles such as guidelines, history, education, surveys etc. that do not fit one of the other article types. Approval from the Editorial Office is required prior to submission. Special Articles are up to 3500 words and 100 references with up to 3-5 figures/tables and include an unstructured Summary up to 250 words.
Case Reports: up to 2500 words and 10-15 references, 2 tables or figures.
Correspondence: up to 1000 words and five references.
Submissions which ignore this guidance on word count or a number of figures/tables may be returned without being assessed. Authors wishing to submit manuscripts with figures/tables more than the recommended number should justify this during submission.
For review articles and clinical investigations, it is possible to include supplementary data (such as additional references for a review, expanded tables of results or additional images for investigations) for online publication only. Authors should make clear in their submission letter which files are to be considered for online-only publication.65
Text should be structured in the following way: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Ethics, Statistics, Results, and Discussion. Research articles are written based on the experimental information collected using a clearly defined research methodology, where the conclusion is drawn from the analysis of the data collected. The information must be based on original research that adds to the body of knowledge to this Journal. An article should provide a critical description or analysis of the data presented while adding new and rapidly evolving areas in the field. Include an abstract in 250 or fewer words with 8 to 10 important keywords. Original articles must adhere to a format constituting the introduction followed by a brief review of relevant literature, the methodology applied (to collect the data), discussion and References, Tables and Figures.
Case studies are accepted with a view to adding additional information related to this journal. It should add value to the main content/article submitted, by providing key insights into the core area. Case reports must be brief and follow a clear format such as Cases and Methods Section, a discussion section that analyzes the case and a conclusion section that sums up the entire case. Editorials are concise commentaries on a currently published article/issue. Editorial office may approach for any such works and authors must submit it within two weeks from the date of receiving comments.
Review articles are written based mostly on secondary data that is falling in line with the content of the journal. They are brief, yet critical discussions on a specific aspect of the subject concerned. Reviews generally start with the statement of the problem with a brief abstract of 250 words and 8-10 key words. Introduction generally brings the issue forward to the readers followed by an analytical discussion with the help of necessary tables, graphs, pictures, and illustrations wherever necessary. It summarizes the topic with a conclusion. All the statements or observations in the review articles must be based on necessary citations, with complete references.
Editorials are brief commentaries on a currently published article/issue on the Journal topics. Editorial office may approach for any such works and authors must submit it within 20days from the date of receiving an invitation.
The standard Layout of a Manuscript
The pages should be numbered in the top, the title page being page one, etc. Start each section on a separate page.
There are no strict requirements on reference formatting. References can be in any format providing the style is consistent. Author(s) name(s), journal title / book title, volume & issue / book chapter, pagination and the year of publication must be present. The reference style required by the journal will be applied to the published version.

Submit the names and institutional e-mail addresses of several potential referees. Note that the editor retains the sole right to decide whether or not the suggested reviewers are used.
This journal operates a single-blind review process. All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles.
Article Processing Charge
All articles published in our journals are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. This is made possible by an article-processing charge (APC) that covers the range of publishing services we provide. A portion of the APC will be reinvested on the services provided by the Editorial Screening team, the Editorial team, the Production team, the Proofing team, the Editorial Quality Assurance team, the Indexing teams that liaise with all major index services, and the Support teams. When your manuscript is editorially accepted and before publication, APC is charged to you, institution or employer.
If an author would like their article to be published, but cannot afford the APC, then individual waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in cases of genuine need.
A growing number of universities, funding organizations and government agencies maintain funds to assist researchers with open-access publication fees. Authors should contact their home institutions and funding organizations about options for assistance with open-access fees.

Details of all funding sources for the work in question should be given in a separate section entitled ‘Funding’. This should appear before the ‘Acknowledgements’ section.
