Editorial Board Structure

Every journal depends upon its editor(s) and board for its success.

One essential task for every Editorial Board is to advise and support the Editor, who has responsibility for the content of the journal. It is very important to stay active and must inform the new policies and guidelines to the editorial board, reviewers and authors. The Editorial Board member must work closely with the Editor of the Journal and Board members with sub-editorial roles. They must help to identify suitable reviewers for every article. They must ensure steady communication with the editorial office listed online. The board should have to provide feedback on the past issues and future guidelines for the journal.

Editor-in-Chief

The editor-in-chief is the lead editor and ultimately responsible for the academic content of the journal. Primary responsibilities usually include:

  • Editor-in-Chief must take the complete accountability of the Journal and they should be familiar with the research design, subject literature, information, publication ethics, and morals. Should also possess extensive Editorial and interpersonal skills.
  • They must strive for the development of the Journal and suggest the publisher for further improvisations with additional policies.
  • They must encourage submission of quality articles by writing Editorials on the Journal’s performance and by coining special issues.
  • They must recommend Editorial office on time when approached on the account of rejection or acceptance of a manuscript.
  • Reviewing and deciding upon submitted manuscripts to ensure sustainable and timely copy flow.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the journal, commissioning content and fielding submission inquiries as appropriate.

Editorial Board Member

The exact role of the Editorial Board Member will vary from journal to journal, and the manuscripts will be assigned to them based on the topic and their expertise.

  • Editorial board member should assist the Editor-in-Chief and must involve in the peer review process.
  • Must be responsible for the quality of Journal content and the published articles.
  • They must ensure that the manuscript is neither published elsewhere nor plagiarized.
  • Should support Editor-in-Chief in handling ethical issues, complaints and appeals regarding the publication standards.
  • Must encourage submission of quality articles by writing Editorials and by coining special issues.

Associate Editor

  • Associate Editor should guide the Editors, Authors, and Reviewers with the guiding principles available from online.
  • They must encourage submission of high-quality articles in the Journal and assist Senior Editor in monitoring the quality content.
  • They must ensure an effective peer review process and timely publication.
  • They must ensure that the manuscript is neither published elsewhere nor plagiarized.
  • Should support Editor-in-Chief in handling ethical issues, complaints and appeals regarding the publication standards.
  • Must encourage submission of quality articles by writing Editorials and by coining special issues.
